Youth Development Committee
Resources for Working with Youth | Camp GLOW | Lead. & Active Citizen. Conference

The Youth Development Committee is a future-oriented group, aiming to prepare youth to be trusted and vital resources within their community. Using the tenets of leadership, management and citizenship, Burkinabe youth will confidently direct self-initiated activities that impact both their peers and community leaders.
With Committee guidance, active citizenship by youth will be achieved. The strategy for youth action begins with assessing local needs, engaging key stakeholders and implementing initiatives. Ultimately, the effective promotion of entrepreneurship, healthy lifestyles and environmental action on the part of Burkinabe youth will be evidence of our success.
The Committee will target two main age groups throughout Burkina Faso: 13-17 and 18-25. Focusing on leadership, teamwork, fostering creativity and encouraging critical thinking, the group will work closely with 6eme and 5eme students by helping to organize Camp G2LOW. The Youth Development Committee Leadership & Active Citizenship Conference will target the elder age group and provide professional resources and help in project development.
Congratulations to our 'Youth of the Fair', awarded a t-shirt and Floby concert ticket Saturday, September 24, 2011, at the Maison du Peuple at the 50th Anniversary Fair. Keep being a leader in your community!
